Trophy Top 100 Wines 2018

Bottega Vinai Nosiola 2017: “Nosiola is a white grape grown in Italy’s Trentino region, north of Lake Garda, offering an amazing array of perfumes and flavours, This beauty features a hazelnut and pear nose and a silky palate – it’s ideal with the Nasi Goreng.” Matthew Jukes, Daily Mail ‘Weekend’ (29th September 2018)

Bottega Vinai Nosiola, 2017 // “Made from little-known nosiola grape, usually used to make sweet vin santo wines, winemaker Anselmo Martini has transformed it into a delicious, nutty, spicy and crisp unoaked dry white.” Rose Murray Brown MW, The Scotsman (22nd September 2018)

A couple of reviews from the September 2018 issue of Decanter magazine:

Bottega Vinai Trentino Nosiola 2017: “Cavit has access to nearly half of Trentino’s 26.5ha of Nosiola, a grape best known for its use in Vin Santo. Its name comes from nocciola – hazlenut – and you can taste them here, along with honey-spiced apples, on the creamy mineral palate.” Selected by Tina Gellie as one of ’25 exciting and accessible wines available in the UK for £25 or less’.
