Xmas Offer 2024 - Normally around £9
Not so long ago, this little wine was in a Decanter tasting of Cab Merlot blends and was pitted against some of the biggest names in Bordeaux and the New World. And guess what?! It was by far the best value for money wine that was reviewed. A couple of vintages on and it still offers so much bang for buck - it regularly wins Sommelier Wine Award medals too. Its such good value too. The blend is lovingly crafted from Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 28%, Cabernet Franc 14%, Petit Verdot 6% and Malbec 2% and developed by the Bordelaise specialists of Banghoek Valley. Its brim full of dark, crunchy Cabernet-family fruit with dark curranty corners. The palate finishes long, textural with a touch of hoisin sauce. A judicial use of oak is used in the making of this wine but complements the warm flavours rather than dominates.
Highly Commended The Wine Merchant Top 100 - 'An easy drinking, well balanced wine full of smooth, soft berry fruits'
