An excellent example of good quality Soave Classico - one of Italy's classic white wines and greatly under-estimated. Fresh and lightly fruity with delicate floral aromas of honeysuckle, elderflower and a hint of spice. Crisp and refreshing on the palate with good depth of ripe honeyed fruit, and a dry, lightly nutty finish.
Aromas of honeydew melon and sweet herbs, almost like freshly cut grass, following through to a medium body, turning more lemony with the acidity. Fresh, citrusy finish with a hint of fresh almond. Very typical Soave here, from garganega grapes. 90 points, JamesSuckling.com (3rd February 2021) Soave Montresor 2019
Undervalued is an understatement for this wine. It really is an absolute steal
at this price and one of the jewels in the Montresor range because of this.
The grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards in the Soave Classico area.
A blend of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. It exudes freshness and
typicity. Delicate and textural with depth of flavour from the 3 months or
so it spends on less. Absolute textbook Soave Classico.
