High altitude means the grapes never get over-ripe and hence the wine isnt heavy but 10% barrel fermentation gives it some broad shoulders and a bit of weight and complexity. Bottle ageing has developed it further into a complex rounded, characterful winner.
A delicate nose of ripe stone fruit, lightly honeyed with a hint of creamy oak. The complex palate is concentrated and well-balanced with ripe peach characters, an appealing mouthfeel and a fresh, long finish with some savoury, toasty notes.
