An exciting project set up by the Rioja winery, Ontanon in the near by region of Ribera that is shaped by the Duero river. In places its over 900metres altitude and the climate is harsh, with irregular rain, uncertain frosts, and short and extremely hot summers.

Their Ribera del Duero wines are produced solely from the Tempranillo grape and this Crianza is oak aged and hugely influences the flavours of the wine. It's simply gorgeous and seductive with oodles of vanilla flavour and spice that compliments rather than overpower the juicy bramble-driven fruit.
