A good bit of bottle age has mellowed the fruit and is now in complete harmony with the little oak and tannins. Soft on the attack but plenty of good appealing dark fruit. Not at all heavy - but just spot on.

Complex nose of red fruits, marzipan, spices, and candied fruits... notes of cocoa upon opening. Full and fresh on the palate, with notes of strawberry jam and hints of chocolate. Soft, silky tannins with a long, fruity finish.

This is show stopper - it really grabs your attention. Without spending silly money, this is as good as you can expect. Its so complete. Dark black bramble fruit with a warming touch of spice and hint of charcoal. Lovely concentrated flavours of bramble and herbs. Beautifully balanced; the tannins give a nice grip and the typical freshness you’d expect of Valréas continues to the finish.
